Look at what the Italians did!

A few weeks ago, we posted a note about a concert led by Giovanni Mancuso in Venice, Italy, here: http://experimentalmusic.co.uk/wp/?p=237 . Well, some of the concert has been posted on YouTube, including some of Chris Hobbs’ PTO pieces. What wonderful hard work with such little tiny instruments. Thanks for the concert, Giovanni! 1. It’s good to know that this kind of music is being revitalized. Something to think of, and to learn from, against the background of contemporary musical ‘Extreme
Centre’ . Besides, one gets the opportunity of rethinking Minimalism and Postminimalism not as just one-way , simple (or simplistic) ‘Retro-Tonality’/Neo-Romanticism’. Thanks for posting these links.
